
Scot Wilson is a senior attorney at Theodora Oringher PC.
He has substantial trial experience. He has tried over 65 jury trials to verdict. He has also been actively involved in multiple federal Multi-District Litigations (“MDLs”) and California Judicial Council Coordinated Proceedings (“JCCPs”).
He was a recipient of the California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (“CLAY”) Award as a result of his role in the Echevarria v. Johnson & Johnson trial. He also was part of the trial team in the In re Tobacco II Cases class action trial and In re VW “clean diesel” emissions trial.
Before joining Theodora Oringher, Scot was a partner at Knight Law Group LLP where he represented clients in consumer protection cases. Prior to that, Scot was a partner at Robinson Calcagnie where he handled personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, and class action cases. Before that, he was an associate and shareholder at Call & Jensen in Newport Beach where he represented corporate clients in business disputes, intellectual property and employment cases. He also served as a pro bono Deputy District Attorney with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office Trial Attorney Partnership Program.
After graduating from the University of California, San Diego in 1999‚ Scot graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2002. While at Pepperdine‚ he served as Note & Comment Editor for the Pepperdine Law Review and won the Dalsimer Moot Court Competition. While at UCSD, Scot was on the men’s golf team.
Scot has been admitted to practice in California since 2002. He has handled cases in state and federal courts throughout the country. In addition to being a member of the State Bar of California, he is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”).
Scot has been named a Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine multiple times for his work. He frequently gives presentations to other lawyers regarding trial advocacy and deposition techniques and tactics.
