Sanay Panchal is a Senior Attorney in the Orange County office of Theodora Oringher PC.  Sanay has significant experience litigating cases in state and federal courts across the country, as well as arbitral forums such as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the American Arbitration Association, and ADR Services Inc.

At TO, Sanay primarily counsels public and private entities in complex tort litigation involving highly sensitive and charged issues of great public and political importance.  His wide array of experience includes commercial litigation, municipal liability, financial services and securities, brokerage and insurance agent defense, professional liability, shareholder derivative actions, director and officer litigation, California Proposition 65, copyright, premises liability and personal injury, consumer warranty, fraud, employment and product defects.

Prior to joining Theodora Oringher, Sanay was a Partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP and an Associate at O’Hagan Meyer LLP.  He previously served as a judicial extern for Chief Judge Irma E. Gonzalez in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, as a law clerk for the U.S. House of Representatives, Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and as a law clerk for the consumer section of the California Attorney General’s office.

Sanay earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2013, where he served as Articles Editor of the Asian American Law Journal and as co-chair of the South Asian Law Students Association. He graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Riverside, with a B.A. in political science and a minor in economics.  He is a recipient of the State Bar of California’s Wiley W. Manuel Award and the Legal Aid Society of San Diego’s Outstanding Service Award for pro bono services.
