Rina Stinson is an associate in the Orange County office of Theodora Oringher PC.  Ms. Stinson first earned certification as a sexual assault victim’s advocate in 2013 as an active member of the Sexual Assault Response Team sponsored by the Women’s Resource Center in Oceanside, CA. She went on to train new SART volunteers by providing instruction on trauma-sensitive communication and self-care. She continues advocacy through providing pro bono services to Laura’s House, a domestic violence agency in Orange County, CA.

This experience enables her to represent defendant entities with a discerning eye. Ms. Stinson previously won a unanimous jury verdict as second-chair in years-long litigation involving institutional and individual defendants and multiple tort claims, and currently serves as defense liaison counsel representing private and public entities in coordinated proceedings encompassing hundreds of individual suits.  Her sensitivity to the need for discretion and the right to privacy benefits parties and counsel on both sides of the aisle.

Ms. Stinson’s in-depth understanding of the potential and the challenges of business leadership stems from both personal experience and multi-generational family knowledge.  Her litigation history includes representing individuals and employers in discrimination, wrongful termination, constructive discharge, retaliation, and wage and hour matters in state and federal courts. She earned her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where she founded and chaired It Takes a Village, a student organization for those caring for dependents. While there, she earned the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and both the Faculty and Dean’s Awards for her academic performance and writing ability.

Ms. Stinson clerked for the District Attorney’s Offices of Los Angeles and Orange Counties, and served as a legal extern for the Honorable Kimberly Knill of Superior Court of California, County of Orange.
