
Kaitlin “Katie” O’Donnell is an associate attorney in the Century City office of Theodora Oringher. Katie recently joined Theodora Oringher from a national law firm where her practice focused on a mix of complex commercial litigation, white collar defense, and governmental and internal investigations. Katie has worked with a diverse group of clients in the private equity and healthcare industries, among others. Katie has also maintained an active pro bono practice which includes criminal defense and appellate work.
Prior to law school, Katie worked as a paralegal at the New York County District Attorney’s Office. While in law school, Katie interned at the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. She was involved in the U.C. Irvine School of Law Civil Rights Litigation Clinic and assisted with the briefing for a Supreme Court case about domestic corporate liability under the Alien Torts Statute (Nestle USA, Inc. v. Doe). She also worked on a pro bono case with Innocence Rights of Orange County that resulted in the court overturning the wrongful convictions of two men who were sentenced to life in prison. She was a lead article editor for the U.C. Irvine Law Review, captain of the Jessup Moot Court team, president of the International Law Society, a research assistant for Professor Joseph DiMento, and a research fellow for Lawyering Skills.
