
Constance is an accomplished trial lawyer with over 30 years of litigation experience in defending professional liability, tort and employment claims. She defends healthcare providers, hospitals, skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, as well as legal and accounting professionals, among other service providers. She also assists physicians and nurses in Medical Board and Nursing Board licensure matters, as well as long-term care facilities in licensure matters and closure plans. She defends skilled nursing facility employers in wrongful termination and discrimination actions. She is experienced in handling class actions, mass tort litigation, appellate and federal matters. She is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Central, Northern, and Southern Districts of California.
Constance has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for her work in litigation-healthcare. She was one of 30 professionals across the nation to be honored as a recipient of the Business Insurance and CLM Women to Watch Award. Additionally, Constance has been named by the Los Angeles and San Francisco legal newspaper, The Daily Journal, as one of the Top 100 Women Lawyers in California. She has been recognized by Los Angeles Magazine as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Southern California. Early in her career, she was one of four women lawyers featured on the cover of Verdict Magazine in an article featuring up and coming female trial lawyers. Most recently, she received the Women’s Influence & Power in Law Award for Lifetime Achievement. She holds an Advocate ranking in ABOTA and an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Constance received her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law and earned her B.S. from the University of Nebraska.
