Jaime L. Pruzansky

Associate

Jaime Pruzansky is an associate attorney in the Century City office of Theodora Oringher.  Jaime is an experienced litigator representing government and private clients in business and commercial litigation, construction claims, and employment disputes.
Jaime also has substantial experience in representing public owners in both transactional matters and complex disputes with experience in schedule and delay, disruption and productivity impacts, and errors and omissions.

Jaime began her career in Boston, Massachusetts where she is still actively licensed to practice law. Prior to her legal career, Jaime served as a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician in her hometown of Falmouth, Maine.

Prior to joining Theodora Oringher, Jaime was an associate at Rosen Saba, LLP in Beverly Hills.

 

 

Recent Construction Contracting and Litigation Matters

  • Presently representing the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority in connection with a major project involving its procurement processes, including revisions to its acquisition policies and procedures and its template for requests for proposals and bidding documents for construction contracts (design-bid-build and design-build) and services (fixed price, cost reimbursable, IDIQ, and time and materials).

  • Presently representing Los Angeles World Airports in connection with procurements and contracts for Multiple Award Contracts for design build, construction, and alternative delivery of projects for airport expansion and in preparation for the World Cup and Summer Olympics.

  • Represented the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Authority in a dispute by design builder over claims for delay, disruption, acceleration, and errors and omissions involving a broad range of disciplines, including civil, electrical, systems, and other work on an 8-mile light rail and subway project.  Coordinated three week rebuttals and presentations of positions concerning numerous disciplines, delay, and cost analysis and prepared successful defense against design builder’s contentions about preferential comments, interference and delay in design review, and asserted increase in post-design services. (2021 – 2023)
