Theodora Oringher Wins the Largest Breach of Contract Award in California in 2017

The firm has been honored by TopVerdict.com as having won the largest breach of contract award in California in 2017. The firm, lead by Todd Theodora, won at the outset of trial a $26,000,000 dollar settlement on behalf of its client the County of Orange. The award was paid by Tata Consultancy Services. The case involved a business dispute wherein Tata was hired by the County of Orange to create electronic data systems supporting the County’s property tax management system.

In addition to Todd Theodora, the following firm attorneys and para-professionals worked on this matter and deserve credit: Allan Schare, Andrew Prout, Tim Gorry, Brian Headman, the late Ben Broderick, Stephanie Pittaluga, and Paul Sorce.

Todd Theodora said, “There are thousands of matters pending in California where breach of contract is claimed, and it’s an honor to learn that a case we prosecuted resulted in the largest monetary award. This outstanding result proves the importance of team work and planning.”

He added, “Previously we had been advised that this award resulted in the largest legal recovery for the County of Orange in the 21st century. This was a hard fought battle right up to the end, and we are delighted that justice was served and the County prevailed.”

Orange County has more than three million residents.
