Mohamed Hadid and Trial Team Wins Lengthy Court Battle of Strada Vecchia Mansion Dispute.

09/07/2021

After six weeks of trial, and four days of deliberations, the jury came back with a 10-2 vote in favor of our client, luxury real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, finding that Mr. Hadid had not engaged in fraud or acted with malice. As to the nuisance claim, the jury voted 9-3 in favor, but awarded less than ten percent of the $26 million the plaintiffs asked for at trial. The plaintiffs had been pursuing this as a fraud, malice and punitive damages case for years.  Attorney Jeff Reeves says, “This win is particularly gratifying for Mr. Hadid and our whole team.  It was a pleasure being in the trenches with co-counsel Chris Pitet and Bruce Rudman, as well as the team from Theodora Oringher, Chris Harney, Rachael Schiffman and Sam Fogas, and trial paralegals extraordinaire Michelle Figueras and Samantha Schuster.”
