Physicians Are at Risk, But May Not Know It (Yet) — What Lawyers and Their Physician and Related Healthcare Clients Need to Know
The Los Angeles County Bar Association and Los Angeles County Medical Association will present a program entitled, "Physicians Are at Risk, But May Not Know It (Yet) — What Lawyers and Their Physician and Related Healthcare Clients Need to Know," on March 24, 2010 at the AON Building Auditorium in Los Angeles. The presentation will address hot topics of risk impacting physicians, related healthcare entities, and lawyers servicing them. Theodora Oringher attorney Bruce Dizenfeld will be a speaker and will discuss risks involving transactions that may run afoul of healthcare fraud and abuse laws, such as anti-kickback and anti-referral laws and the laws prohibiting the corporate practice of medicine. Theodora Oringher attorney Linda Hatcher, Immediate Past Chair of the LACBA Healthcare Law Section, is on the Program Planning Committee and helped plan the event.
